I loved what you shared, especially because it is very interesting to use the platform, I am going to combine it with what I am doing to improve my results
Does this only do REO’s?
Hey Mike,
No, we search various property listing sites and don’t only look for REOs. For example, one of the sites we search is FSBO.com which is a “for sale by owner” site.
The list of sites continues to grow as the software evolves. If you have a site you’d like added, please let me know.
Our “to do” list is located on the Property Listing Sites post so if you post a comment there, I can keep track and put a priority on your request.
Hello I’ve enjoyed your presentation and I will be downloading it this weekend looks interesting and promising you said you were possibly looking for other websites have you ever considered a website like sawbuck or something include foreclosure specialty website and what kind of pricing are we looking at here
Hey Kevin,
There’s a whole list of sites we’re going to try working our way through here: http://www.birddogbot.com/blog/179/property-listing-sites/
Pricing hasn’t been determined yet, but I’ll have a better idea in the new year. After the holidays I’m going to buckle down and get this thing launched.
Would love to hear what you think of the software!
Kosta
Hi Kosta, i played around with the BirDogBot, it’s pretty good, so how much is member ship going to cost?
peter
Hey Peter,
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Pricing hasn’t been set yet, but it’s going to be priced such that you’re going to get a nice return on the investment. Sorry I don’t have more info than that at this time…
I’m aiming to launch in January some time so I will have a better idea at that point.
Kosta
Hi, Interesting software you have, i do have a question how many listings can this application analyze in an hour??
Peter
Hey Peter,
Right now it’s looking like we’re analzying about a listing every 25 seconds. I’ll admit though, that’s not a scientific number. It’s just what I’m seeing based on my connection speed so that may be better (or worse) for your connection. We have some ideas to improve that performance, but we’re being a little cautious as stability and reliability are our focus at this point.
Let me know if you have any more questions…
Kosta
thanks for the reply Kosta, that’s like 120 property evaluations per hour not bad, im looking at doing 6000 per hour, any chance this will do that in the near future?
Peter
Wowzahs! 6000/hr would be quite a feat. I can’t make any promises on that one to be honest.
The issue is not so much in the analysis as it is the time it takes to navigate to each site and get the data it needs before it can evaluate anything. The plan is to do “multi-threaded” searches. In other words, search multiple listings at a time. There will be a threshold though as you could imagine. As you’ve probably experienced in your browsing yourself, after you open a few tabs all retrieving pages at the same time, everything starts to slow down.
Once BirdDogBot has the data, the analysis itself takes a split second. Again, the issue is getting to each site, grabbing the data it needs, going to the next site, grabbing more data, etc etc.
Hey Peter,
Doing the math, at 6000/hr you’re looking at 1.67 properties per second. I think it’s safe to say, that we won’t ever get that quick. Well, I hate to have “limiting beliefs” but if you’re talking about “near future” I don’t see internet connections improving to the kind of speed you’d need to pull that off.
The only way it could do it that quick is if we had direct access to the databases on the listing sites and direct database access to zillow. Unfortunately, we don’t have that and I doubt those sites would ever allow that. Even if they would, they’d probably want huge amounts of cash for it. At that point, the software would be extremely expensive for the end users.
If you know something I’m over-looking, please do share. I’d love to do 6000 properties per hour too 🙂
Kosta
Great video and software, I used it and found some great deals that I will be making offers on. This will help me make more offers on deals faster before anyone else. I was wondering if you could add sites like craigslist, for sale by owners websites.
Thanks
Brian
Hey Brian,
Yup! That’s one of the goals of the software, so it’s great to see you excited about BirdDogBot!
Do me a favour, if you could reply back to one of the emails I’ve sent you with a list of all the sites (with urls) you want me to add, I will add it to my ever-growing and never-ending list of additions 🙂
Thanks!
Kosta
I just started a thread where everyone can post their requests for new sites.
This will help us keep track and prioritize the sites we add.
Please add your requests here instead of emailing us.
