Hi Bill,
I’m running Windows 8 now myself and BirdDogBot runs without any problems!
I suppose I should update my page to indicate that. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

We cannot get birddogbot to download on our computer (we have windows 7), plus we get a message that there is a trojan attached. Could you please send me a message with contact information for technical/customer support. Thank you!

Hi Danielle,
This sounds like it’s an AV (anti-virus) issue. Your anti-virus has detected a “false positive”, meaning it thinks there’s a virus but really, there is no virus there. Once your anti-virus detects that, it’s just stopping the download on the spot.
I had this issue with one of my previous versions on my own machine and I run ESET NOD32 anti-virus. After a few days, the problem went away once ESET released an update.
Which anti-virus are you using?
The work-around solution is to “whitelist” the software and then trying to download it. If you can let me know what AV you’re using, maybe I can help find you instructions on how to whitelist, should you need that assistance.
If you’d like to reach support, you can reach us at: support [at] birddogbot [dot] com.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for letting us know,
Kosta
