The goal of BirdDogBot is to not only become an indispensable weapon in your real estate investing arsenal, but to help YOU save time as well.
Part of that requires you giving us feedback to let us know what sites you use to find deals and analyze properties so that we can integrate them into BirdDogBot. The less sites you have to manually look at, the more time you save – that’s the idea!
Please post a comment below and let us know:
- What sites do you use to find properties?
- What sites do you use to estimate market values?
- What sites do you use to estimate monthly rents?
You will not only be helping us help you, but you’ll also be contributing to a greater cause of helping OTHER real estate investors as well. That’s why I created BirdDogBot and I hope you can share in that vision with me.
Please post your comments below now…
hey i think the video is very nice an to the point. The site i like is Redfin.com!
The redfin site is similar to Zillow, but so far I find it to be a little more accurate and actually send you properties closer to your criteria.
Also more up to date. I think this would be quite an asset to bird dog bot,
and our users.
Can you add feature where you search by county and not city.
Also add HUDstore.com
Hey Cliff,
We’re looking into HUDHomeStore.com right now.
Searching by counties is not as straightforward as it may seem. The issue is we need all the sites we search to be able to support it. Unfortunately, that’s not the case as not all property listing sites allow you to search by county. If at some point they do, we will then be able to add this functionality.
Thanks for your feedback!
Kosta
UPDATE: BirdDogBot 1.15 now supports searching by county! Here’s a video demonstration: http://www.birddogbot.com/blog/1462/birddogbot-1-15-new-features-demo/
Can you add hudstore.com.
Hey Cliff,
I am going to get my programmer to take a look at hudstore asap. It seems like there is demand for this site. If it can be added, I’ll get him working on it.
Thanks!
Kosta
I find properties with HUDHomeStore.com, REVestor.com, FSBO.com, Craigslist.org as well as Trulia.com, Zillow.com and Realtor.com. Occasionally I’ll look at the GSE sites and other bid sites.
I estimate market values through realtor CMAs, Trulia.com, Zillow.com and Eppraisal.com or I’ll get an actual appraisal.
I use rentometer, REVestor and Zillow to estimate rents.
Hey everyone,
As a result of your comments, we have added realtor.com in our list of supported sites.
Also, you’ll notice we added support for HomeSteps.com as a lot of users have been requesting that over email.
These 2 sites were added as of version 1.07 which you can see a demo of here: http://www.birddogbot.com/blog/908/birddogbot-1-07-new-features-demo/
Keep the list coming and we’ll keep adding them for you!

I agree with Seb and Marizel. I use both realtor.com and hcad.org along with har.com and trulia.com. I live about an hour South of Houston, TX and find these sites have come in handy.
TotalViewRealEstate.com is sponsored by Dean Graziosi and is completely free as Marizel mentioned and they also use:
zillow.com
eppraisal.com
and rentometer.com
I hope this helps.
Thanks.
Brian Carter
Hey Brian,
Thanks for your feedback! We will keep your requests in mind when deciding on which sites to add to our list next.
We currently use zillow to estimate market value along with rentometer (and zillow) to estimate rental incomes. So we’ve got those covered 🙂
Thanks again,
Kosta
I’d like for realtor.com to be added to the list of real estate websites.
I am located in Houston, TX. I go to HCAD.org (Harris County Appraisal District) to look for Property Taxes, Owners, Appraised Value, etc. It’s a great tool for anyone who is buying in Harris County Texas.
And of course, http://www.TotalViewRealEstate.com ..it’s 100% FREE.
